Youth Activities
- Youth Group Reach Out Meetings:
- These meetings are on the third, fourth, and fifth Mondays of each month. These get-togethers are for grades 6-12. We enjoy games, fellowship, food and Bible devotions. These meetings are designed for the youth to invite and bring their friends to a safe, non-threatening and fun youth night. We meet from 7:00-8:30PM at the church building.
- High School Reach Out Night:
- These meetings happen on the first Monday of each month from 7:00-8:30PM. They are geared for grades 9-12. We spend the first 60 minutes having fellowship, snacks, and games, and then we spend the last 15 minutes in a Bible related devotion. We meet at a church member's house. This meeting has the same purpose as the regular Reach Out Niight, but it is geared for the High School student.
- Middle School Reach Out Night:
- These meetings happen on the second Monday of each month from 7:00-8:30PM. They are geared for grades 6-8. We spend the first 60 minutes having fellowship, snacks, and games, and then we spend the last 15 minutes in a Bible related devotion. We meet at the Youth Minister's house. This meeting has the same purpose as the regular Reach Out Niight, but it is geared for the Middle School student.
- Sunday & Wednesday Night Small Groups:

The Sunday Night Small Groups are oriented & taught by gender. They take place from September to June from 6:00-7:15 PM at the church building, for grades 6-12. The Wednesday Nigh Small Group Bible study is for 9th grade through young adult. It meets at the building from 7:00- 8:15 PM each Wednesday throughout the year. These are our core small group Bible Studies led by adults of the church.
- Sunday Bible School Classes:
- These classes meet at 9:30AM each Sunday. Our Middle School class and High School class is presently combined. We spend this time studying the New Testament part of the Bible.
- Special Youth Activities:
- These activities range from recreational to public service, thus varying in time, day, and place. They are scheduled at least once a month and are designed to integrate Christian principles into the youth's everyday life, as well as an avenue the teens can use for evangelism and service.
- Summer Camp:
- Summer camp is one of the highlights of the summer for youth here at Glen Acres. Summer camp is held at Camp Dudley, near White Pass in the Cascade Mountains. We run two camps: Junior Camp for grades 4-8 and Senior Camp for grades 8-12.
- Seattle Youth Rally:
- This is an area-wide Youth Rally held once a year in the spring at Camp Berachah in Auburn, WA. It is sponsored by the Crown Hill, Cedar Ridge, and Glen Acres congregations. Teens come from Washington and Oregon and sometimes from further away..
- Glen Acres High School Retreat:
- During the year, we try to schedule a weekend retreat for our high school teens at Glen Acres. We do this to not only have a great time of teaching but also to build and strengthen unity within our high school group.
- Retreats and Rallies:
- Two or three times a year we take a group out of town to either a Youth Rally or Retreat that is sponsored by another congregation. These usually start on Friday afternoons, and we return on Sunday afternoon.
- New Life Northwest Family Camp:
- We invite the whole family to spend four days together camping at Salmon Falls campground (near Vancouver, WA) with other Christian families from the Northwest.
- Kids Club - Grades 6-8th
- These meetings happen every Wednesday night, from 7:00-8:15 PM. They are geared for grades 6-8. We spend 20 minutes having fellowship, snacks, and games; 20 minutes on a craft; and then we spend 20 minutes in a Bible related devotion.
