Ministries
- Sunday Morning Christian Education:
- On Sundays from 9:30-10:30AM Sunday School classes are held for all ages. Also, during the adult worship time (10:30AM to Noon) junior chapel for grades K-5 is held, along with classes for kids not in school or preschool. Classes for grades 6-8 are held from 11:00AM to Noon.
- Women's Breakfast:
- This is held every third Saturday of the month from September to June. This is a special time where our women meet for breakfast, fellowship, sharing in God's word, relaxing, and to encourage one another.
- Evangelism Team:
- This group meets monthly with our evangelist to discuss ways to spread the gospel to the community.
- Seattle Christian College:
- A cooperative effort between Glen Acres, Crown Hill and Cedar Ridge churches, dedicated to committing the word to those who wish to know the Scriptures and serve our Lord.
- Music Ministry:
- The Music Ministry at Glen Acres includes various Praise Teams and other opportunities to perform. The Praise Teams are the main song service leaders for the morning services. Our services range from traditional a cappella singing to the more contemporary praise music. This helps us create an atmosphere where each member of the congregation can express themselves in a personal and soul-filling way.
- Wednesday Night Bible Study:
- Small groups meet together on Wednesdays for Bible study and prayer starting at 7:00PM. Classes for children from 3 years to 8th grade are also held during this time at the church building.
- Service Schedule:
- There are several ways for the men of the church to take part in the service (i.e. meditations, serving communion, etc.)
- Youth Group:
- Glen Acres Youth Group is for kids in grades 6-12. They meet on Mondays, Wednesdays, Sundays, and for special weekend activities. These weekend activities include youth rallies & retreats. We have two summer camps that they can attend. The first is a family camp in June at Salmon Falls. The second is a youth camp for grades 4th to 12th in August at Camp Dudley (located approx. 45 minutes west of Yakima, WA just off Highway 12 at Clear Lake).
